Embodying the concept that design must follow construction, the Arbor by Andreas Engesvik and Daniel Rybakken is assembled from separate components that have been independently produced to provide optimal comfort, quality and efficiency. This sofa was developed with the intention of creating a durable sofa that would qualify for the Nordic Swan Ecolabel in the European market, and features FSC certified wood with water-based lacquer for the frame and EU-Ecolabelled upholstery for the Eco version. The seat and cushions are made in carefully balanced proportions, with identical side cushions creating a sense of harmony and offering the opportunity for multiple comfortable sitting or lying positions, while the structure creates a strong, elegant profile with architectural quality. With its logical construction and uncluttered design language, Arbor combines its distinctly Scandinavian aesthetic with high comfort and great durability.
