Designed by Japanese artist Jin Kuramoto, the Knit is a simple, iconic hanger with a distinctive sculptural design. Comprised of three powder-lacquered steel tubes that are interconnected in a three-dimensional way, the tubes are tightly"knitted"to support each other and create body strength. Inspired by the tactile experience of touching materials and the experimental processes of bending and knitting metal ropes and rods, Knit was developed as an extension of HAY's wardrobe and hanging clothing options in a flat, easy-to-assemble design. Featuring a high gloss finish that creates a glossy effect, Knit can be used to add functionality and visual interest to hallways, bedrooms and other public or private areas.
