Originally, mats were used to protect people from direct contact with the ground. Communities and entire families gathered on their rugs, which functioned as a home, inherent to everyday life, providing comfort. Over time, the rug became a decorative element and a vehicle for cultural messages.s.

The Medina collection represents the modern transformation of tradition. The classic aesthetic is achieved with artisanal production in northern Pakistan, using a very old and traditional technique: the kilim.

Materials: afghan wool

Hand-spun wool from indigenous sheep in Afghanistan. This fiber has a low environmental impact as the rugs are woven in nearby Pakistan.

Traditionally, wool is the most used material for rugs. Presenting essential characteristics, wool offers quality, flexibility and is 100% biodegradable. It is hypoallergenic, easy to care for and ages well. In addition, it is considered a great thermal and acoustic insulator and also a natural moisture regulator. Wool rugs help create cozy and comfortable environments.
