The Penguin Lounge Chair is a mid-century masterpiece. Reclining and harmonious, but very daring, it is characterized by calm and balance. Sitting in this low, deep chair is comfortable and safe. The chair hugs you. When furniture designer Ib Kofod-Larsen designed the Penguin Chair in 1953, he focused on the person who was supposed to sit on it. Its curved back and sloping seat cradle the body, and its remarkably simple design offers a surprisingly high level of comfort. The Penguin Lounge Chair has a graphic purity that allows it to seamlessly interact with other pieces of furniture.
